I've been MIA because I've been busy and eating like crazy. I got all the fluid out on the 3rd, because of the damn pork chop I ate, and for the last week I've been eating everything I knew I wasn't gonna be able to get down soon. I had Olive Garden bread sticks, pizza, pasta, and lots and lots of bread! Sandwiches, toast, etc. I've been a very bad girl. Now, I haven't been eating seconds (except once) and I still wasn't eating all that much in general. Just alot of carbs and stuff.
I didn't do too bad, or at least not as bad as I thought I would. In the first week I was gaining about 1-2 pounds a day, then it must have leveled off a little because I only gained 10 pounds, when I expected to gain 15-20 in that amount of time.
Either way, I've got fluid in there now, though, I'm not sure it's enough. And I'll go back in in a week or so to get some more once this settles. It doesn't feel like enough right now, but maybe tomorrow it'll feel more restrictive. That's usually how it goes.
Current weight: 205lbs.

Life is Lovely
I had a pretty good day yesterday. I did my walk at lunch. No elliptical, because I forgot my gym bag. I ate ok till I got off work then I started snacking!
Here's what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast - Nothing
Lunch - 1/2 cup (or less?) of pumpkin-turkey chili
Snack #1 - 1/2 cup of pumpkin-turkey chili with 1 tbsp. sour cream
Snack #2 - FiberOne snack bar
Dinner - 3/4 of a small slice of pepperoni pizza *
* of which a bite or two came back out, the rest KILLED me for 45 minutes while it worked it's way down. Oh, it was awful. I should have stopped at a single bite.
So although it felt like I was snacking all day, I guess I didn't really do all that bad. The pizza was a bit much, but with the lack of breakfast, I guess that's where it took me. I would have eaten breakfast, except that I got up late, and breakfast was too close to lunch. So I figured my lunch would be my breakfast.
Current weight: 220 lbs.

NSV
No weight loss since the 2 pound drop the other day. I went up .4 yesterday, and down .2 today, none of which affected the current 224 number, so none of it was scary or great, but just the same.
Although, even with no loss, I'm starting to feel smaller. When I did my sit-ups this morning my belly didn't bunch up as much as it used too. It almost looked like a normal belly when I looked down. Also, I'm wearing a skirt that barely fit last week, it fit, but it was tight. This morning I put it on and it fits perfectly. Not tight at all. I have these shoes that tend to be on the tight side too, that fit better today. I'm even wearing socks with them, and I have some room to wiggle.
On another note, I didn't eat so great yesterday, and I'm wondering if that's affecting the scale. Here's what I ate, in case you're curious:
Breakfast: 1/4 cup store bought chicken salad
Snack: 4 blackberries (chewed/swallowed) , 3 blackberries (chewed/spit out)
Lunch: 1/3 cup chicken salad
Dinner: 1 pepperoni, 1/2 Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake ice cream bar
So that's it. I also had one sip of root beer, and the rest of my drinks were either water or peppermint tea with Splenda. The reason why dinner was so small is that I went to the dentist after work yesterday and it made me sick to my stomach, and my mouth hurt. I only ate the ice cream because the pepperoni was a piece off my BF's pizza, and he'd put hot pepper flakes on it, and didn't tell me till after it was in my mouth. The ice cream was the only thing that was soft, cold, and not water. (Water makes it burn worse! And I don't like milk.)
So, long story short, I didn't eat enough, I think, and my body reacted by only dropping .2 pounds. I also didn't really work out. I just went for a short walk, and did some mini-squats at my desk. I'm supposed to do my run today, but the weather is a little iffy out, so I may end up on the elliptical instead.

Unofficial Weight Update
It's Morning again, and I weighed myself on the Wii. My weight is back down this morning to 236!!! Now, I'm barely in the 236 range, but it still counts! I'm very excited. But since the swelling went down from surgery my weight has done this down/up/down thing. It will go down by what seems like alot, then the next day, it goes back up, then, it goes back down again. So I'm starting to see this like a pattern. Which is why I didn't panic the other day when I went back to 238.
So this is officially the lowest I've been in over a year! Sweet!
About yesterday:
Yesterday morning I brought a piece of quiche for breakfast. It was 1/8th of the full pie (minus one bite, heh). I ate a couple bites of it and had to stop. A little while later I ate some more, and stopped. Then, later still, I finished it off. I'd say it took about 30-40 minutes to eat that one little piece of quiche.
For lunch I had a tamale. Out of a box, but very close to real tamales in style and taste. It was very yummy. I was able to eat that without issue and was actually a little hungry when I was done. Oh, also...I was on the elliptical for 30 minutes yesterday, and still had time to shower, get lunch, get water, and get back to my desk right on time.
By the time I got home from work, I was absolutely starving. My stomach had been growling since 1'ish and I was feeling light headed. I didn't want to eat though because I was trying to wait till dinner and I was doing something. My head started swimming at one point, so I grabbed a handful of peanuts and ate those. After the head swimming I started having spots in front of my eyes, so that I couldn't type because I couldn't read the screen on my computer. Finally, about 5, I gave up and laid down for a bit.
After about a 1/2 hour nap I felt a little better. The spots were gone but I was still starving. I wasn't feeling too well either. My stomach hurt. So even though I was starving, my stomach felt upset like I didn't want to eat. I didn't feel like cooking, so I got a pizza for the kids. I ate one of the pieces. The smallest one I could find. I expected it to get stuck or something. I did just have a fill the other day, and in the morning I wasn't even able to eat the quiche. It didn't stick though. I waited a half hour to let it settle and my stomach was still growling, so I got a leftover piece of quiche out of the fridge and ate that. No problems going down. Still hungry. My stomach was still growling, and hurting. That finally settled later so that I wasn't as hungry, but my stomach was still feeling weird, and so was I.
I went to bed then because I was tired, and it was time.
Current weight: 236lbs.

14 Pages of Fun!
Ok, so I just got done with the 14 page application for WLS. It has all the usual stuff, name, address, insurance information; then, a whole lot of health information. If you plan to have WLS be prepared to take at least 20 minutes out of your day filling this out.
I took 20 minutes, got most of it done, but then when I got to the part that wanted me to list what I ate I couldn't. Why, You ask? Because they wanted one weekend and one weekday, back to back. Well, I filled this out on a Tuesday. I didn't remember what I'd eaten the weekend before, so I either had to wait till the upcoming weekend, or make it all up.
I considered making it all up, seriously, but I wasn't sure what kind of follow up questions they would ask later.
So, here's what I put down for my eating for two days (Friday and Saturday).... oh, and I'm sure I missed something, I just don't know what!
9/14 -
Breakfast: Tomato and Cheese sandwich.
Apple fritter (Friday is donut day at my work)
Lunch: Tomato and Cheese sandwich.
Dinner: Quarter Pounder w/Cheese
Fries
Coke
Snacks/Drinks: Coke, Coke, water and tea
9/15 -
Breakfast: Chocolate milk
Lunch: Dunno?? Chips I think
Dinner: Pizza (4 slices - this is my trigger food!)
Snacks/Drinks: Dr. Pepper, Gatorade, water
So, I'm going to turn this in later on today.
Oh, in other news - I went to see my PCP and he's perfectly ok with me getting WLS. I was afraid that he would fight me on this, because he's typically pretty old-fashioned. I'm glad I talked to him about it.
Current weight: 242
Time to WLS approval: 6 months
