I've been MIA because I've been busy and eating like crazy. I got all the fluid out on the 3rd, because of the damn pork chop I ate, and for the last week I've been eating everything I knew I wasn't gonna be able to get down soon. I had Olive Garden bread sticks, pizza, pasta, and lots and lots of bread! Sandwiches, toast, etc. I've been a very bad girl. Now, I haven't been eating seconds (except once) and I still wasn't eating all that much in general. Just alot of carbs and stuff.
I didn't do too bad, or at least not as bad as I thought I would. In the first week I was gaining about 1-2 pounds a day, then it must have leveled off a little because I only gained 10 pounds, when I expected to gain 15-20 in that amount of time.
Either way, I've got fluid in there now, though, I'm not sure it's enough. And I'll go back in in a week or so to get some more once this settles. It doesn't feel like enough right now, but maybe tomorrow it'll feel more restrictive. That's usually how it goes.
Current weight: 205lbs.

Tic-Toc
Counting down to 199. I woke up this morning and weighed in at 217! Yay! Steadily dropping almost a pound a day. I'm guessing tomorrow will be only about .6 lbs based on the pattern of the scale for the last few days. Which means I'll be on 217 for two days. It could surprise me, but I really don't think so.
I've been trying to get in more liquids, unfortunately it's mostly sugar free kool-aid, as I'm a little tired of water right now. The point is, though, that I'm getting more liquid!
I've been cheating a little and eating chips, but not alot. Had about 1/4 cup of hamburger hash for dinner last night. That was as much as I could handle. Hamburger is hard to chew fully, it's like freakin' gum, it just goes on and on. The hamburger was mixed with ground pork for the meat, but I think the hamburger was truly the problem.
Exercise wise I didn't really get any yesterday, I had stuff to do, finishing up school shopping. Today I've done my short-version walk, it's about 25 minutes (maybe 30?) and bad girl that I am, I had a 16 oz chai with skim milk. Probably falls about the 300-400 calorie mark. It's that time of the month, and I wasn't feeling well this morning. It was my way of soothing myself, nice warm tasty liquid. I also had a few bites of a rice krispie treat.
Just now, for lunch, I had a few bites of chicken thigh with BBQ sauce, and two small bites of potato. It was too much. Or maybe I didn't chew well enough. I was pretty hungry. When my tummy feels better I'm going to try to eat more of the chicken, because I need the protein, but I'm done with the taters.
Because it's TTOTM I probably won't be doing alot of exercise unless it's after work. I hate dealing with the pad issue, and taking a shower, and changing in the public'ish locker room. So maybe I'll switch to after work for this week, and if I still walk at lunch, the better for it. I'll get double exercise! heh.
I saw a leaf drop today while I was on my walk. Fall is definitely on it's way. I'm excited for the cooler temps, it will make running nicer and not so sweaty. I don't look forward to the rain that comes with it though. lol
In other weight/fitness related stuff: I started my xmas list for this year, and it's going to be chock full of fitness/outdoorsy stuff. I'm even thinking of getting a membership to REI.
Here are a few things that are on my Xmas list:
So if any of you want to do a secret santa, lemme know! lol I don't know how you'd do that online, but who knows. We can figure it out!
Current weight: 217 lbs.

Life is Lovely
I had a pretty good day yesterday. I did my walk at lunch. No elliptical, because I forgot my gym bag. I ate ok till I got off work then I started snacking!
Here's what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast - Nothing
Lunch - 1/2 cup (or less?) of pumpkin-turkey chili
Snack #1 - 1/2 cup of pumpkin-turkey chili with 1 tbsp. sour cream
Snack #2 - FiberOne snack bar
Dinner - 3/4 of a small slice of pepperoni pizza *
* of which a bite or two came back out, the rest KILLED me for 45 minutes while it worked it's way down. Oh, it was awful. I should have stopped at a single bite.
So although it felt like I was snacking all day, I guess I didn't really do all that bad. The pizza was a bit much, but with the lack of breakfast, I guess that's where it took me. I would have eaten breakfast, except that I got up late, and breakfast was too close to lunch. So I figured my lunch would be my breakfast.
Current weight: 220 lbs.

Weight Update
See? What'd I tell you? Today is my official weigh day and I'm down 1.5 pounds putting me just under the 222 mark. So I sit here at barely into the 221, but I'll take it! Yay! I am skinnier today than I was yesterday! :)
What I ate yesterday:
Breakfast - 1 SF Rice pudding
Lunch - The elliptical, not really food, but that was lunch. lol
Snack - 1 SF Rice pudding
Snack(that ended up as dinner) - 3/4 grilled tomato and cheese on whole wheat bread.
I was feeling like I needed a snack when I got home yesterday afternoon, I saw my homegrown tomatoes on the counter, that really need to be eaten soon, and decided that I wanted a tomato sandwich. Regular bread wouldn't work though, so I wanted to try to grill it, as a grilled cheese, with a whole tomato in it! I sliced up the tomato as thin as I could, because it's skin gets stuck sometimes too. I buttered the bread, and heated up the pan. I piled some shredded mixed cheese on one piece of bread, and put a slice of american on the other side. Then added the tomatoes on both sides right away so they could get cooked too. I added one more slice of american to go between the tomatoes so they had something to stick to.
It was a wonderful sandwich. I ate 1/4 and had to stop. When that was clear, I had another 1/4, then about an hour later I ate the other 1/4. My sister ate the last bit that was there when I was done. I will have to do it again sometime, but only half a sammy. That way I'm not tempted to eat the whole thing! heh.
I'm not supposed to eat bread by the way. I usually don't. We're supposed to stay away from most carbs for the first year at least. Yesterday I figured it was ok though, because I'd only eaten 140 cals. up to that point (in the form of 2 SF Rice puddings) and I'd done the elliptical and burned at least 200 calories there. So I was running on empty, and needed something more substantial. Of course this "binge" meant that by the time dinner came around (2 hours later), I was no longer hungry, and the meatballs that were simmering in spaghetti sauce were not to be eaten by me. So, like any normal person, I played the Sims(3) during dinner, while the kids were eating. lol.
Current weight: 221 lbs.
BMI: 37.??

Weekends are bad for me.
I am beginning to hate weekends. I have no will power.
Did I make my goals this last week? No. Well, some, but mostly, no.
I'm excited because I'm getting free movie tickets later this week, hopefully Saturday we will go see the new Harry Potter movie.
Here are my new goals for this week:
Did I make my goals this last week? No. Well, some, but mostly, no.
- French, 20 mins per day. I got this in on two days last week.
- Work out in the gym at least 2 times this week. Yes. This goal was met.
- Walk 30 minutes each day I'm not in the gym. All but Saturday. But to make up for it I walked 1.5 hours yesterday.
- Get to 235 lbs. by Sunday. Stuck at 238 because of some bad food choices.

Can't..resist.....must.have...treats...
Weigh in this morning sucked. I'm up .7 lbs. Luckily still holding steady in the 239, but if I keep eating like I did yesterday, I'm gonna have problems.
I know I haven't gotten my first fill yet, but any gain feels like failure. Especially after eating everything I could get my hands on yesterday. I know, it's NOTHING like how I ate before. All those bites that I took would have been whole items instead of just bites. I would have eaten the whole salad, and gotten myself a whole dessert. Actually, I probably wouldn't have gotten a salad. I would have gotten an appetizer, and a big burger or steak, and eaten it all. I have nothing to be ashamed of for eating what I ate yesterday. It was bad, but still, just a drop in the bucket comparatively.
I did get in my exercise yesterday. I did 15 minutes on the elliptical at the gym. I'm walking today. Tomorrow I'll get back on the elliptical and do 20 minutes instead. The 15 was just because I was chicken. I wasn't sure I could do it, so I set it low. I was fine, and probably could have gone another 5-10 minutes. My legs would have been rubber, but I could have done it. Hopefully by Thursday I'll be over my monthly issues too, which makes the whole shower/change thing easier too.
So today I'm trying to switch up my eating a little. I didn't eat on my first break like I usually do. I'm drinking water instead, trying to get down about 20+ ounces before I eat. I snacked on 3 radishes while I was drinking water to keep the hunger down a bit. I figure they have almost no calories, so it doesn't hurt me to eat them and drink at the same time. I just looked it up, and a whole cup of radish slices is only 19-23 calories, depending on what site you look at. Nothing. lol
I'm trying to push back when I eat, so that I'm not so hungry after work. That's when I get the most trouble. I get home, start snacking, and it turns into what you saw yesterday. I need to be full when I get home so I don't feel the need to graze. I sure can't wait for my fill. I would love to feel as full as I did the weekend after surgery. Yeesh.
Here is the list of what I'm eating today:
For breakfast I'm having a can of tuna (80 cals) with 1/2 a tomato (15 cals) chopped in, and about 1 1/2 tablespoons of miracle whip (55 cals). For lunch I brought a can of cream of celery soup. I know, no protein, but an easy way to fill my belly with low calories. It's only 90 calories per serving, so even if I eat the whole can I'll only get about 225 calories.
Total for breakfast and lunch: 375 cals.
For dinner I have planned to make baked lemon chicken with mushroom sauce. I'm going to try my hand at wild rice on the side, and probably a salad. I'm not very good at making rice though, so wish me luck.
So if I eat a chicken breast with some rice, the lemon chicken is about 392 calories, and the rice is about 82 calories for a half cup.
Total for dinner: 474 cals. (if I eat the whole chicken breast)
Total for the day: 849 cals.
Assuming that I don't snack. Wish me luck.
Current weight: 239 lbs.

Quick note
On hunger:
A good way to have a "snack" to tamp down the hunger monster is to take your vitamins and such. I just took my calcium, B12, and a fiber tablet (all chewable except the B12 which I took first so it could get down without impediment). Well it worked pretty well, the hunger beast is no longer growling for now, but now I have this pain in my chest which is an indication that something is stuck. Ick. lol
What a predicament!
Current weight: Still 240!
