Wow, this year is already speeding by. It feels like the day after New Year's and yet it's actually February 1st! I haven't been working out in the last week cause I've been sick. I had a bad cold. It was no fun. I'm feeling better today though, so I should be able to get into the gym today.
Since my fill my eating has been much better. I am not hungry all the time, which is great. I'm a little too much I think, because I've been close to PB'ing several times, I actually did like twice because I pushed it. One was at Olive Garden. It was just so good, I ate till I PB'd, paused, and ate some more. lol I'm bad, I know.
For the most part I've been good though. The hardest thing I've been dealing with lately has been getting enough liquids and protein. In fact, I'm eating eggs right now to get some of that protein!
So anyway, it hasn't been a good week because I've been sick, but I think being sick must have not been all bad because I lost several pounds this week.
Current weight: 186 lbs.

Exercise!

Went to see Dr. Movassaghi yesterday for my post-op check up on my boobs. All is well. He said they were healing well. While I was standing there with my shirt up he looked at me funny and asked, "Have you lost weight?" too funny. I laughed and told him that I had, and that he should have noticed since he's seen me so often in the last few months. He asked me when I had it done, and I told him June. He asked how much I've lost so far, and I told him 71 pounds. He was very pleased and said I was doing a good job.
When he asked how I was doing it, and I told him about the lapband (again...) he made sure to write down my stats and stuff. Apparently he'd forgotten about the lapband part, cause I had told him about it back when we first started back with the boobs. Either way, he was very pleased with the results. And I reminded him again that in about a year, I'll be coming back to him for the tummy tuck (assuming I can save enough money by then).
I left and when I was driving home I realized that I'd forgotten to ask if it was ok to exercise again! So I called and asked and he said yes, whatever I wanted to do.
YAY!!
So I went home, made a phone call that I had to make, took my asthma meds, changed clothes, stretched and was out the door for a run! Oh it was wonderful. I've missed it. I started right where I left off, Day 2 of Week 3 on the Couch to 5k. Speaking of which, me, my bf, and a few of my friends are doing the 5k here in May! So I gotta keep this up so I'll be able to do the 5k. It seems like such a big goal now, like I'll never be able to run that much, but it's a few months, and I have no more surgeries to impede me from here. So I think I can do it. *crosses fingers*

Weekly Weigh-in
Well, not alot going on around here. I'm back to exercising. But wait, I think I already mentioned that. I went to a party on Saturday and got drunk, and danced and danced and danced. It was great. Wait, I already said that too, didn't I?
I did 40 minutes on the elliptical yesterday. My legs were already sore from dancing on Saturday, so it was a hardship, lol. I made it through though! I feel right proud of myself, lemme tell ya.
I'm going back to the gym on Wednesday for another 40 minutes. I'm debating on next weeks workout. Should I go for a full hour? Or try to go faster, and go for distance? Or should I go uphill the whole time? Or maybe, uphill and an hour together? Oh the choices. I could ask a trainer, but that would involve working with someone else. I do so much better alone.
So, for the rest of this week, 40 minutes tomorrow, 30-40 minutes Friday (depends on if I do it at lunch, or after work.), then hopefully a jog on Sunday. That's my plan anyway. We'll see how well it works out. Maybe I'll skip Friday and run on Saturday instead, that way my schedule stays pretty much the same next week. Yeah, that might actually work.
I also need to do my situps tonight. I was supposed to do them yesterday, and forgot. It was a busy day.
Ok, well that's all for now folks. Have a great day! And here's to lost pounds! Cheers!

Feeling Crappy
Found out yesterday that my tubes will be taken out today. Big Plus! Awesome.
On the weight loss front, I'm doing alright considering I'm not working out at all. I'm down to 206, which will either level out or increase tomorrow, because they're putting saline in my boobs to increase them in size, so even if I lose a little weight, it'll balance out the boobs. If not, then according to the scale I will have gained. lol It's ok though, I know the real reason.
Trying really hard to get my liquid in for the last few days, because whenever I eat it's 1-2 hours before I can drink anything without feeling like I'm gonna puke. And this isn't even to the "stuffed" point of eating. It's just to the full point. I think there's a chance I may need some unfill, but it could also be because I ate too much at one point last week and it caused me to puke, which leads to swelling which leads to more puking... bad cycle. I'm trying to go easy on it now, and not even eat to full, and I'm trying to stick with soft foods. For the last two days the main portion of my diet has been cottage cheese. I figure calcium and protein. Good combo.
Well, feeling crappy or not, another pound down and closer to 199, so I'm happy I suppose. :)
Oh, one more thing... I was feeling kinda crappy about my progress because of the surgery I thought I wasn't going to lose any weight this month. Well, I was just looking at my weight on the 8th, compared to today... in 3 weeks I've lost 10 pounds. That's awesome. So really, I can't complain.
Current weight: 206 lbs.

Roller Coaster Ride
Total Pounds Down:

I'm back down again. Just over 5 lbs. lost. I've been avoiding the scales for fear that I would have gained weight but felt I needed to do it this morning and get it over with. I just took a look at my last post and realized that I hadn't updated that the 217 I had been at had only been temporary. I was back down to 212 a few days ago. The 207 is 5 pounds down from even that. So what I thought was going to be a horrible month for weight-loss turned out to be ok. Yay!
I'm still healing from my surgery, and still have tubes in my sides, so typing for extended periods of time is still not cool. This post is short, sorry.
I go in on the 29th to add fluid to my new fake boobs. So, I'll gain weight there, but not real weight. lol Fluid, not fat.
Oh, and I didn't go back to work Thursday. I'll be there Monday though.
Current weight: 207 lbs.

2-0-freakin'-9
Yeah, you read that right. 209lbs. I lost over 5 lbs this morning. I guess my camping trip took a few days to catch up to me. I was expecting this loss when I got home from camping, but as you know, I actually gained a little weight. Here's photographic evidence, just in case it jumps back up again tomorrow (lol):
I haven't run this week. I'm working on the things I need for my surgery next week, oh - did I mention that it got moved up to NEXT MONDAY? I'm not ready... omg. What was I saying? Oh yeah, getting ready for my surgery next week. I had labs yesterday (meaning they took blood from my arm) and I have my Pre-Op appointment today. And on Wednesday when I was supposed to run, I didn't have my truck with me (the BF had it) so I couldn't go meet my running buddy, Brandy, at the park. Which for me meant, hey, I can wait on that till tomorrow. Well, tomorrow got busy and it never happened. Grr.
I'm going to try to run this weekend, but we'll see. I wanted to get week 2 of the couch to 5k this week, so that I'd be further ahead after my surgery. I won't be able to run for awhile because ... no bouncy bouncy. I will jump back on the elliptical though, asap.
So life was a little sucky yesterday, I was feeling down and very stressed out, from the surgery coming up, from the labs I had to do yesterday (needles - ICK/OUCH).

Tic-Toc
Counting down to 199. I woke up this morning and weighed in at 217! Yay! Steadily dropping almost a pound a day. I'm guessing tomorrow will be only about .6 lbs based on the pattern of the scale for the last few days. Which means I'll be on 217 for two days. It could surprise me, but I really don't think so.
I've been trying to get in more liquids, unfortunately it's mostly sugar free kool-aid, as I'm a little tired of water right now. The point is, though, that I'm getting more liquid!
I've been cheating a little and eating chips, but not alot. Had about 1/4 cup of hamburger hash for dinner last night. That was as much as I could handle. Hamburger is hard to chew fully, it's like freakin' gum, it just goes on and on. The hamburger was mixed with ground pork for the meat, but I think the hamburger was truly the problem.
Exercise wise I didn't really get any yesterday, I had stuff to do, finishing up school shopping. Today I've done my short-version walk, it's about 25 minutes (maybe 30?) and bad girl that I am, I had a 16 oz chai with skim milk. Probably falls about the 300-400 calorie mark. It's that time of the month, and I wasn't feeling well this morning. It was my way of soothing myself, nice warm tasty liquid. I also had a few bites of a rice krispie treat.
Just now, for lunch, I had a few bites of chicken thigh with BBQ sauce, and two small bites of potato. It was too much. Or maybe I didn't chew well enough. I was pretty hungry. When my tummy feels better I'm going to try to eat more of the chicken, because I need the protein, but I'm done with the taters.
Because it's TTOTM I probably won't be doing alot of exercise unless it's after work. I hate dealing with the pad issue, and taking a shower, and changing in the public'ish locker room. So maybe I'll switch to after work for this week, and if I still walk at lunch, the better for it. I'll get double exercise! heh.
I saw a leaf drop today while I was on my walk. Fall is definitely on it's way. I'm excited for the cooler temps, it will make running nicer and not so sweaty. I don't look forward to the rain that comes with it though. lol
In other weight/fitness related stuff: I started my xmas list for this year, and it's going to be chock full of fitness/outdoorsy stuff. I'm even thinking of getting a membership to REI.
Here are a few things that are on my Xmas list:
So if any of you want to do a secret santa, lemme know! lol I don't know how you'd do that online, but who knows. We can figure it out!
Current weight: 217 lbs.

Back on Track
Freakin' yay!! 219 today! I messed up on a week, but now I'm back in the game. I'm down to barely 219 so tomorrow I should be at 218, because I'm not being bad today and eating things I shouldn't eat. Not drinking this weekend either. So, go me!
Exercise wise I've walked everyday this week except for the days when I did the elliptical (3 days). I ran last Saturday, but that doesn't count for this week. I plan to run later today too, so that will encourage even more loss.
This is a short one cause it's Saturday and I have stuff to do. TTYL!
**UPDATE 5:36 PM **
Just got back from my Saturday run. I did all NINE run segments!! It nearly killed me because my asthma meds never kicked in, but I darn well did it!! OMFG !! Oh, and before my run I did sit-ups, 1 set of 20 then 1 set of 15 a minute after the first set. That's 35 total! More than I've ever done in one session of sit-ups.
Current weight: 219lbs

Back to Losing!
Good morning! I have had a happy day so far! I weighed in at 221.2 this morning! Finally I'm back on track. I still lost a week of loss, but whatever, I shouldn't have been out drinking and off eating all that crap. That'll teach me, won't it?
Yesterday I still slipped a little foodwise, but I think it's because my band is too tight right now. So it's messing up my eating. I'm not gonna have any taken out yet, because I think it's tight because my stomach is irritated. All that bad food last week, I've really been mistreating my stomach, causing it to swell.
I'm eating better today. I have soup for lunch, and just had some boiled eggs with salt for breakfast. Minus most of the yolk (it's dry). Yesterday wasn't awful, but I should have been on all mushies, or better yet, liquids. I've just been too lazy to make protein shakes. I need to give my stomach time to heal. It's been growling even when I can't eat another bite, and based on all the other blogs I've read, it's a sign that the band is too tight. It's also been causing me lots of pain and I've been puking. I've only ever had 2 PB episodes, but I've been making myself puke because I've been getting stuck alot.
What I ate yesterday (if I remembered it all; I was snacking alot):
Breakfast - 1 SF Rice Pudding
Lunch - 1/2 cup of bite size chicken bites (breaded breast meat) w/bbq sauce
Snack - 1/4 cup of bite size chicken bites w/bbq sauce
Snack - 2 heaping tbsp cottage cheese, 3 bites of Nectarine (of which I had to puke back up some)
Snack - 2 bites of frosted banana bread, 1 bite of red licorice, 1 dorito
Dinner - 1/2 avocado with salt/pepper
Wow, looking at it here it doesn't seem like I ate much. When I was thinking back on it it felt like a LOT. If you add it all up its less than 3 cups of food total. Today will be a little more, because of the soup, but the calories will still be low, because it's soup. lol
Also, I jumped on the elliptical yesterday, and did two sets of 15 sit-ups. It was great. Both are getting easier to do, so I can do more/harder settings. I'm very proud of myself for that. I can't wait till I can consider myself an athlete. I would love to be able to do 50 sit-ups at a time!
Current weight: 221.2 lbs.

Skipped over 225
It's my official Tuesday weigh in day, and boy what a surprise I got! I skipped the 225 mark entirely, and went directly to 224 by losing 2 pounds! How exciting is that??
I was telling my BF the other day that this is like a video game, a roleplaying video game, like Final Fantasy. I get positive reinforcement for doing the right thing, I "gain levels" or rather... Lose Levels! lol .. As long as I keep playing the game.
If you're curious about what I've been eating, here's a list of what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast: 1 S.F. rice pudding cup
Snack: water.... lol - it's true! I was getting hungry so I drank water.
Lunch: a few bites of General Tso's chicken
Snack: 2"x2" piece of cake, with filling on it, and some frosting
Snack: 2 tbsp. tropical crab salad, minus some of the pineapple.
Dinner: 3/4 in. slice of giant hoagie sandwich, and 1 chip
Mind you, I don't normally eat cake. That was my leftover piece from the other day when we were watching movies. There's still some of that same piece in the fridge. And I overestimated about how much I ate of it. The rest though, is pretty accurate. Especially the breakfast. That sugar free pudding is what I have almost every morning, because my band is especially tight in the morning.
I discovered recently some foods that I cannot eat:

Good weekend...
There was a going away party on Friday night. Went to my brother-in-law's house and said goodbye to Angel. She's going into the military. Played pool, drank 2 TGIF's Pina Colada's, the first one another shot or two of Coconut Malibu Rum was added. The second one didn't get anything extra. I also had a butter baby shot. Overall it was a good night. I got really drunk, and flirted with people. That was fun. :)
Saturday we went jogging, and I repeated day 1 of the Couch to 5k, later we watched Harry Potter 4, as we wanted to watch them all before going to see the new one on Tuesday. While watching the movie I ate some more of my leftover birthday cake, and a few bits of popcorn. I also did 3 sets of ten situps on this day too. After the jog.
Sunday I weighed myself and I was up .4 lbs. Not enough to be really concerned about though.
This morning I weight myself, and I'd lost the .4 and then some. I was down to 226 lbs!! I can't wait till tomorrow! I'm hoping to see 225. That will be awesome. I'm doing really well!
Later today, about 10:30 I'll be going jogging again. Gonna repeat the first day of couch to 5k, again. Because I still can't do all the run segments. When we did it on Saturday, I was able to kick out 6 sets, without my asthma meds!! Yay! And of course, I did walk the remaining time, so I wasn't just skipping out on the whole thing, just the running part. Wish me luck that I'll be able to kick out 7-8 of the 9 segments today. If I can do that, it'll be the last day I repeat day one, and I'll move on to day 2 on Wednesday.
Current weight: 226lbs.

Free Day
Today is my free day. I'm going to have half a donut (if I am able) and am not doing any exercise today. I might walk some, but not unless I'm really antsy. Tomorrow is my next Couch to 5k day. It should have been today, but I'm holding out till tomorrow so I can run with my BF. He better not make me look bad. lol
I have a party to go to tonight. There will be drinking, but I'm not feeling well, so I don't know if I'm going to partake.
I lost enough weight to get to 227lbs. So I'm well on my way to my boob-job goal! Yay me!
Current weight:227 lbs.

Weight Update
No catchy title today, just a weight update. I had my run yesterday, and I was feelin' pretty good. I hung out the rest of my work day with my cube mate, that was pretty fun. Then... I went to the dentist. Lets just say, the rest of my day was pretty well crap. Going to the dentist to deal with my tooth again, same tooth that I've been in for twice before this, was a pain in my arse. Having your mouth forced open for over an hour is hard on the jaw muscles. I wonder if I could get a muscle relaxant next time? Maybe that would help. *shrugs*
Something he was using in my mouth made me cough a few times while he was working on my mouth. And whatever he was doing, something made me nauseous so I had a hard time eating when I went home. I had a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter for dinner. I just couldn't stomach anything else, and my mouth was hurting anyway.
I'm getting behind on my water lately too. I'm trying to work on that. I'm drinking water right now, before I can have my breakfast. I've been eating breakfast first, then drinking an hour later, but I think that's shrinking my water drinking time.
On a good note, my weight is down again! Yay me! It's at 228lbs now, and just barely. If I lose even half a pound more I'll be at 227. I'm so freakin' excited about this. I love this thing. I just need like... 50 more pounds down and I can get my boobs done. That would be nice. I'm going to make the appointment with the plastic surgeon in September/October after I've lost like 40 of the total 75 I need to lose. So I can prove that I'm on my way, and hopefully he'll schedule my boob job for November/December. I would prefer December though.
Well, I'm off to finish my water now.
Cheerio!

Happy Birthday!
What a great way to start the day, another 1 point something pounds down. I now officially weight 229 lbs. As today is my weigh in day, this will remain on my list over there on the right even after today has passed.
Today is my 35th birthday (and President Obama's birthday too! He's 48 today) and I'm having cake. If you want to see what kind of cake, go here. This is not my regular blog, so I'm not going to talk about my regular stuff.
Yesterday for breakfast I had a sugar-free cinnamon roll pudding. For lunch I had a slim-fast. For snacks during work I had some pork rinds. And for snack after work I had a Good Humor Almond ice cream bar. Well, to be honest I only ate 2/3'rds of it because it made me a little sick. My son ate the rest. For dinner I had a small bowl of homemade soup, minus most of the broth. It was pretty good but the meat I had in it was a little dry and got stuck on the first bite. After that, I basically shredded it, and at it little bits at a time.
So, I think that's all for now. I may come back later if I have more to post.
It's a good day bra'! (from that carl's jr. commercial - lol)

Monday Madness!
Over the weekend I went to karaoke, and got stone drunk. It was great. I've been eating very little for the last week. Last night for dinner I had a single hot dog, no bun, and about 1/4 cup of mac-n-cheese. I had to stop twice to let my food go down before I ate some more. I finished the hot dog, but left some mac on my plate. For breakfast yesterday I had pudding, and for lunch I had 5 wholewheat ritz crackers with cajun crab spread on them. That's a fair sampling of how I've been eating.
For my exercise yesterday I cleaned out our fridge. Totally detailed it, removed the shelves and everything. 1 and a half hours of hard labor. lol
I'm wondering if I should be doing protein shakes again? At least every few days maybe. I had pudding for breakfast this morning too. I need to invest in some flavorless protein powder to add to my puddings. I have pork rinds for a snack, and a slim fast for lunch. I would have had that for breakfast, but it's frozen, so I have to wait.
I don't know what we're doing for dinner yet.
I weighed myself on the Wii this morning and had lost another 2 pounds, after loosing almost a pound the other day, that's about 3 pounds for the week. Good deal! Loving it. Hee hee. It might have been more were it not for the alcohol on Saturday, but whatever, I had fun.
It's not my official weigh day yet. Tomorrow. So maybe I'll lose some more by then.
Current weight: 230lbs.

Unofficial Weight Update
It's Morning again, and I weighed myself on the Wii. My weight is back down this morning to 236!!! Now, I'm barely in the 236 range, but it still counts! I'm very excited. But since the swelling went down from surgery my weight has done this down/up/down thing. It will go down by what seems like alot, then the next day, it goes back up, then, it goes back down again. So I'm starting to see this like a pattern. Which is why I didn't panic the other day when I went back to 238.
So this is officially the lowest I've been in over a year! Sweet!
About yesterday:
Yesterday morning I brought a piece of quiche for breakfast. It was 1/8th of the full pie (minus one bite, heh). I ate a couple bites of it and had to stop. A little while later I ate some more, and stopped. Then, later still, I finished it off. I'd say it took about 30-40 minutes to eat that one little piece of quiche.
For lunch I had a tamale. Out of a box, but very close to real tamales in style and taste. It was very yummy. I was able to eat that without issue and was actually a little hungry when I was done. Oh, also...I was on the elliptical for 30 minutes yesterday, and still had time to shower, get lunch, get water, and get back to my desk right on time.
By the time I got home from work, I was absolutely starving. My stomach had been growling since 1'ish and I was feeling light headed. I didn't want to eat though because I was trying to wait till dinner and I was doing something. My head started swimming at one point, so I grabbed a handful of peanuts and ate those. After the head swimming I started having spots in front of my eyes, so that I couldn't type because I couldn't read the screen on my computer. Finally, about 5, I gave up and laid down for a bit.
After about a 1/2 hour nap I felt a little better. The spots were gone but I was still starving. I wasn't feeling too well either. My stomach hurt. So even though I was starving, my stomach felt upset like I didn't want to eat. I didn't feel like cooking, so I got a pizza for the kids. I ate one of the pieces. The smallest one I could find. I expected it to get stuck or something. I did just have a fill the other day, and in the morning I wasn't even able to eat the quiche. It didn't stick though. I waited a half hour to let it settle and my stomach was still growling, so I got a leftover piece of quiche out of the fridge and ate that. No problems going down. Still hungry. My stomach was still growling, and hurting. That finally settled later so that I wasn't as hungry, but my stomach was still feeling weird, and so was I.
I went to bed then because I was tired, and it was time.
Current weight: 236lbs.

First Fill
Had my first fill yesterday. I'm going to describe it in as much detail as I can, for anybody reading this who hasn't yet gotten theirs.
After I left work, I rushed home to get the Lidocaine/Prilocaine cream to put on my port area. I slathered it on, and then taped saran wrap over it (as directed). I rushed back to the clinic, to make my appointment on time. I was there with a minute to spare! They checked me in, and said someone would be with me soon.
I was playing bejeweled when the nurse came to get me. We went back and weighed me in. She told me how much I'd lost. Her numbers were different from mine. Her scale said 241 lbs (but that's fully clothed, and fed and watered) which is actually one pound up from what my Wii would have said had I tried them both at the same time. She then tallied how much weight I'd lost since before the surgery. I'd lost 8 lbs from my presurgery weight. They don't count from right after surgery because of all the fluid build up. I suppose I should change my tallies too to better represent where I was before surgery, as opposed to the day after. I just wish I'd weighed myself on the Sunday night before that. Grr.
So once I was weighed, she took my blood pressure and pulse. I then waited while she went and got a bottle of water and divided that into three small cups. She also got together all the supplies that Dr. Yarbrough would need to perform the fill.
After she left, it was only a few minutes before Dr. Yarbrough came in. I was happy to see him, as always, as he is a cutie pie and has a great smile. heh. We talked for a few minutes about how hungry I was and he told me it was a little early for a fill, but he wanted to make sure I got one from him before he moves to his new office.
He had me sit up on the table, he took off my saran wrap cover and took a look at my port area. He had me blow up my belly, you know, like when you were a kid pretending you were pregnant? (Was that just something me and my friends did??) Then he proceeded to poke and prod all around my incision/port area. He seemed to have trouble finding it, but was pretty sure it would be there. He said that the first one is usually the hardest because of the scarring around it that was still healing and stiff. He finally got close to it and said he would just wing it a bit from there.
He pulled out a needle and said this was the hardest part for most patients. He put it in and I didn't feel anything. That lidocaine really worked. When he pulled it out I looked up and said: "Was that it??". He said no, that was just the painkiller shot before he puts the saline needle in. Then he picked that one up where I could see it. It was huge! You know those big needles that are used for needle point and stuff? It was like that.
He went to put it in my belly and I was afraid. When it hit, though, I was ok. I didn't feel anything but the movement as he was moving it around. He eventually found the port and was able to put some saline in. It felt a little gurgley in my belly but otherwise was unnoticeable. I told him about the gurgles. I said I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating or not. He didn't think I was hallucinating, but it was a little odd.
Once he'd gotten most of the saline in he had me sit up, with the needle still in my belly. (The table I was on actually moved for me) He then had me drink the water, as fast as possible. He said that patients usually have trouble drinking the water fast. I didn't. I guzzled the first, then the second. I had to pause to breathe in there. Then he put a minuscule amount more in it and had me drink the third. I had no problems drinking the third either. I had to pause once but that was mostly to breathe. I did feel that one though, as the others went down like... well, like water! heh.
He didn't look like he was satisfied with it, but said he was not going to add anymore. He didn't want to over do it. He chatted with me for a few minutes after that, and wanted me to sit for a bit to see if that changed anything. It didn't. He warned me several times that if I was unable to eat liquids/mushies that I should say so so it could be unfilled a bit. I was not overly concerned with this after the water thing.
After it was over I talked for a bit with the nurses, then went home. Immediately upon returning home I grabbed a chocolate sugar free pudding and ate it. I ate it slowly to make sure I didn't cause myself any damage, but barely noticed it going down. I was still hungry after eating it, but it wasn't far from dinner so I waited before going any further.
I made sausage mushroom quiche for dinner. Since it was mostly egg, and I'd had no trouble with eggs the week after surgery, I decided to have a piece. I cut myself 1/8th of the pie (it was a full size deep dish pie shell) and my kids got 1/4 each, and we reserved 1/4 for my BF. I topped mine with a dollop of light sour cream. I was able to eat the whole piece, no problems. I even had an extra bite from what could have been my second piece. Then, I stopped. I didn't want to push it, since I was already pushing it by eating the quiche in the first place.
About 1/2 hour after dinner I went to get my BF from work. On the way home we stopped at the closest Dutch Bros (coffee shop) because they were having a $1 sale on ALL their stuff. We got the kids stuff, and the BF got a White Mocha Raspberry freeze. It sounded good! I decided I could swing a drink of my own, so I got a small hot Chai latte.
When I got home, I couldn't drink the Chai right away, because I was trying to observe the don't drink right after eating rule. I got to about 45-60 minutes away from when I'd eaten the quiche and drank my Chai. I pretty much guzzled it down because it wasn't far from bedtime at that point.
This time, I felt something. I felt full after drinking the Chai, and 30 mins later when I got into bed, I could still feel it. When I laid down I could feel heat rising from my belly which indicates that it hadn't really settled. Since it was rather uncomfortable I had to sit up for a few minutes to help it settle. I was so tired though, that this didn't last long. I went to sleep not long after that.
There's more, about this morning. But I'll wait on that for now. This post is to long! :D

Weight Update
Wowee Zowee. I was afraid I was stuck at 238 and would never lose any more weight. (That's how it feels, you know, like a diet, a diet that will fail just like every other diet.) I did though! I lost another 1.2 pounds! This puts me at 237! In the bottom of the 237's even. If I lost another 1/2 pound I would be 236!! OMG. This is so awesome. Even without the fill I'm still doing ok! I would rather be losing 3-4 pounds per week, but losing any is still awesome.
So last night, I almost had a PB experience. The family was having one of those On-cor Entrees, the barbeque fake pork patties that we all love, but I didn't want to have those calories, so I got 3/4 of a chicken breast instead and coated it with the sauce from the patties. It was well tasty, let me tell you. So I put that, a little over a scoop of broccoli, and 5 onion rings on my plate. Well, to be honest, I ate 3 of those onion rings right off the pan, but the total eaten was 5.
So I ate all the onion rings, most of the broccoli, and all but a bite of the chicken. When I got to the last bite of broccoli and chicken, that I ate, I was almost forcing it down. It was just so tasty, and it didn't seem like I'd eaten that much. I've eaten whole chicken boobs before, and this was only 3/4. I'm thinking it was because I ate those onion rings first though. Anyway, I was stuffed to the gills. It hurt after a minute or two, then my throat started clogging up with slime, it felt kinda like the snot that builds up in the back of my throat when my sinuses get all crazy.
Nothing came up though. I don't think I was even nauseous. I had a slight pressure, right below the point that I would have felt sick, but it never quite made it that far. Then a few minutes later I burped really nicely and it settled better. Still hurt, but not so much, and the slime mostly went away.
Current weight: 237lbs.

Official Weigh In Day
Weighed in this morning. 2 weeks from the day after surgery, my official weigh in day, till I make it something different. Should I make it Monday? So it's exactly from when I got banded? Or leave it Tuesday, so it's from the first time I weighed myself after banding? It should probably be Sunday, the day before banding, but I didn't weigh myself that day, and they didn't weigh me the day of surgery.
Conundrum.
So Tuesday it is. For now. And back to my weight... I was down .2 of the pounds that I was up yesterday, so I'm almost back to 238. I've heard from other people that most go up a bit and then drop dramatically. I hope that's me! lol. The .2 brought me to exactly 239 lbs. Had I lost just .1 more pounds I would have been back at 238. That would have been good. I like that number. I would like 237 even better!
I was really good eating wise yesterday. I had 1/2 chicken breast for breakfast, with a couple bites of applesauce, and the same for lunch. For dinner I had about 1 1/2 cups of Turkey Pumpkin Chili, and a teaspoon of light sour cream to top part of it. Other than that it's been water, or decaf tea with Splenda, which I don't drink after meals. Oh, and my vitamins. Yum yum.
I need new goals for this week, which I should have set Monday, but I couldn't think of what I wanted them to be. I have now though, so here they are:
I think these are do-able. So wish me luck!

- French, 20 mins per day.
- Work out in the gym at least 2 times this week.
- Walk 30 minutes each day I'm not in the gym.
- Get to 235 lbs. by Sunday.
I think these are do-able. So wish me luck!

That Funny Feeling
My weight is up by .4 lbs, which puts me back in the 239 pounds area, as of this morning. I was sad to break my losing streak, but not entirely surprised. Weekends are not good for me. I have a bit of a co-dependent thing with my boyfriend, and when he gets snacky, guess who also gets snacky? On top of that, I made mac-n-cheese at the request of my daughter, and ate some. I knew I shouldn't but I just couldn't help it!
I know it's only .4 pounds, but I'm supposed to be losing weight, not gaining it back!
Needless to say, I was disappointed this morning. I'm sure it'll be back down soon though. I'm on the tail end of my "monthly issues" and I'm sure I'll drop a bit once I'm all done there. I also walked 40 minutes yesterday, and 40 minutes today. I plan to do it again the rest of this week too.
I remembered to bring my food for breakfast and lunch today, teriyaki chicken and apple sauce. (for both.. the chicken was leftovers)
When I was eating lunch today, I got one of those reminder jolts that I have something stopping me from eating. I got through with my chicken - protein first! - and started my applesauce. I got about 3 bites when I got this ... heavy feeling in my gut. I took one more bite and stopped. I only took that last bite because it was already half in my mouth when I felt the heaviness. It's a really good thing that I picked the smaller piece of chicken for my lunch, or I probably would have PB'd. lol
Which I haven't yet done, btw.
