For my second post of the day I will talk about the second fill that I forgot to mention the other day.
I went in on Friday at lunch and saw the temp doctor that's filling in (heh, filling in) until my center gets a permanent replacement. I think her name was Dr. Hughes. She wasn't a very personable but she got the job done. I told her that I wanted .5cc's to 1cc and she asked me why? She said that she's usually more aggressive. She offered to give me 2cc's, I said I'd compromise with her and get 1.5 cc's. She agreed.
The way she did it was a little different from Dr. Yarbrough. I had the skin numbing cream, and with Dr. Y, he gave me a little pain shot so it wouldn't hurt when the bigger needle went in. Dr. H said that the little pain shot made it harder to get in the second needle, and the other needle wouldn't hurt that bad.
So I tried it her way. It didn't hurt all that bad getting the shot. It did seem to go smoother. She got in there, injected the saline and got back out. It did hurt a bit more after she pulled it out, but nothing to write home about.
She had me drink some water, and I could feel the restriction, but had no problems drinking water. I went home and did my pudding test, and sure enough there was a good restriction. It took me a lot longer to eat this pudding than on the first fill.
So I'm happy on that front. I already mentioned some of the stuff I've been eating. My portions are dramatically reduced. Because I'm tighter in the morning, most mornings I just have a sugar free pudding.
In other news... I went for a walk on lunch today and decided to run for part of it. Out of the 45 minute walk, I probably did 1/5 to 1/4 worth running. It felt pretty good. When I got back to the building I was sweating horribly and my face was beet red. It's still a little hot out. I need to run in the shade. lol
I've decided that sometime this week I'm going to start the couch to 5k.
