Doesn't this lady look like a Klingon? What's up with her forehead??
Well, I finally called and got the results of my sleep apnea test. I definitely have sleep apnea. They said that its severe. I stop breathing or severely slow my breathing more than 40 times per HOUR. My oxygen saturation levels were down in the 70's, which is very very not good. No wonder I'm always so tired, and always forgetting things. My brain is being suffocated every night.
So I go in tomorrow night for the fitting/adjustment of the CPAP machine. I have to be there at 8:00 pm
This is the mask I want, I think.
just like last time. They are going to outfit me with one of these systems and then monitor my sleep again. At least this time I don't have to wear the stupid nose plug things, just the CPAP mask. I hope that they get the data they need fairly early, because I really want to go right home. I hate these tests.
But oh well, if it helps me sleep, then really, that's all I can ask for.
I'm hoping that the one I get will be comfortable.
On another note:
My doctor, Dr. Donald Yarbrough, is leaving this practice in August. I really like him and hope to have him as my surgeon before he goes. When he switches, he'll be going to Corvallis. If my insurance will allow it (cover it) I'd like to keep seeing him even though it means a two hour drive to do it. (That's 1 hour each way, almost)
Well, I hope you are all having a great day. If anyone has any CPAP mask suggestions, feel free to send 'em in! I'd love to hear others' views on these things.
Current weight: 252lbs
Time to WLS approval: 1 month (I think?... they're a little squirrely on these things)
